STARVIS 2 IMX675 is Sony’s latest sensor for low-light driving. It delivers better night visibility, less noise, and clearer number plates. It improves night recording, but does not match human eyesight brightness.

Which SD card should I use?

The included 128GB SD card is pre-inserted. If you wish to use your own SD card, please note that this dashcam is a dual-recording 4K device, which places high demands on the SD card. Since SD cards have a limited lifespan, we recommend purchasing a high-quality U3-rated SD card for longer service life, superior performance, and higher reliability.

Does it support parking mode?

Yes. This dashcam supports 24-hour parking surveillance. Parking mode requires a hardwire kit (not included) for continuous power supply. If needed, you can purchase it through our GKU store or contact our official after-sales customer service about how to use it.

Can I view videos on my phone?

How is the rear camera’s night performance?

The rear camera supports 4K resolution, but nighttime image quality depends not only on resolution, but also on the surrounding environment. Because 4K resolution requires a higher pixel density, each individual pixel is smaller and receives less light, so the image may appear darker in low-light conditions. If the rear image seems abnormal, please check whether your car has tinted film on the rear window or whether the glass is clean.

Does the dash cam record smoothly?

Yes. The dash cam records stable 30fps video on both front and rear cameras, ensuring smooth playback without frame drops.This is especially important for capturing fast-moving vehicles and number plates clearly.

How accurate is the GPS?

Nighttime is an extreme scenario, and license plate clarity is greatly affected by factors such as vehicle speed, lighting conditions, oncoming headlights, rain and fog, installation angle, and dirt/film on the windshield.We recommend installing the lens horizontally, keeping the glass clean, and avoiding obstructions from window film.

Will parking surveillance drain the car battery?

If you use a hardwired solution with low-voltage protection, it will usually automatically cut off the power to protect the battery when the voltage drops to a set threshold.It is recommended to choose appropriate settings based on your car model and battery condition, and avoid using high-load parking mode for extended periods when the battery is weak.

Why does my phone show "no internet connection" after connecting to the dashcam's Wi-Fi?

This is normal. The dashcam's Wi-Fi is typically used for direct connection between your phone and the device (for previewing, settings, and downloading videos), and is not an internet hotspot. Therefore, your phone may display "no internet connection."

Why is it necessary to "format in the device"? How often should I format it for better stability?
