    FAQ

    1.1.Can't find WiFi?

    The D700 dash cam's WiFi is not always on and needs to be turned on manually. This is because keeping WiFi constantly on consumes more power and can cause the device to overheat, especially since the D700 dash cam has a touchscreen that must operate at a safe temperature. To ensure the dash cam functions properly, WiFi is set to be off by default. If you prefer to have WiFi always on, we can provide a special firmware for you to experience.

    2.The D700 dash cam uses 5GHz WiFi. Can phones with 2.4GHz WiFi still connect?

    Yes, they can. The D700 dash cam is compatible with 2.4GHz WiFi.

    3.The video appears blurry?

    Due to the touchscreen on the D700 dash cam, which has a higher power consumption, the APP preview resolution is set to 960×540P, which is the maximum preview resolution available on the current APP. For clearer videos, please download the footage to view it in full resolution.

    4.Will the parking monitor mode drain my car battery?

    As long as the hardwire kit is installed correctly and not connected in reverse, it will not drain your car battery. There is an installation guide available on the listing page of our hardwire kit. You can also contact our professional after-sales support team for an installation video. If you have any questions, please reach out to our after-sales support team.

    5.The screen remains back-lit with a flashing red dot in time-lapse mode. Is this normal?

    Yes, this is by design. The software keeps the screen back-lit with a flashing red dot to indicate the recording status. If the screen were completely off, you would not be able to see the dash cam's recording status.

    6.The back camera shows distorted video quality at the beginning of the video when the video is locked.

    This issue may be caused by frame drops due to the rear camera shaking, which is an occasional occurrence. We can provide you with upgraded firmware, which will resolve the issue once updated.

    7.WiFi cannot connect to the phone?

    Connection issues may be due to permission settings. Some iPhones may deny permissions (such as location, storage, WLAN, etc.) the first time, and granting them later does not resolve the issue because the dash cam remembers the initial denial. To fix this, uninstall the app, reinstall it, and make sure to grant all permissions when prompted the first time.

    8.In parking mode, it takes 10 seconds to start recording after detecting an impact.

    The slow startup time is a limitation of the device. We recommend using time-lapse recording with high sensitivity settings to ensure quicker response times in parking mode.

    9.My car cannot use the cigarette lighter. What should I do?

    The power supply method included with our product is the cigarette lighter adapter. If your car cannot use the cigarette lighter, you can use a hardwire kit or a USB-C to USB-C cable. These are not included in the package. If needed, please contact our professional after-sales support team using the contact details on the first page of the manual to request these items.
